Shinkle ’15 wins Republican State Committeewoman position, according to unofficial results

Caroline B. Shinkle ’15, has won the position of Republican State Committeewoman, according to unofficial results posted on the City of Cambridge website. Shinkle won 175 of the 247 total votes in the First Suffolk and Middlesex District, which is 70.85 percent of the 7 precincts in the district.

Shinkle ran against two other women — Joyce M. Kelly and Eva B. Murphy. Kelly is a Professor in the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics at Massachusetts Community College.

Another Cambridge undergraduate who ran for a Republican State Committee position was Michael E. Cowett, a junior at Harvard College. He won unopposed.
